Continuum- a continuous sequence in which adjacent elements are not perceptibly different from each other, although the extremes are quite distinct


Petrichor- the pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period of dry, warm weather


Bibliophile- a person who collects, or has a great love of books


Phobia- an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something


Nonchalant- feeling or appearing casually calm or relaxed, not displaying anxiety, interest or enthusiasm


Mundane- lacking interest or excitement, dull


Philanthropy- the desire to promote the welfare of others, expressed especially to by the generous donation of money to good causes


Adoration- deep love and respect


Smitten- be strongly attached to someone or something


Enchanted- fill with great delight, charm


Enrapture- give intense pleasure or joy to


Courage- the ability to do something that frightens one


Angelic- exceptionally innocent, beautiful, or kind


Perceptive- having or showing sensitive insight


Insomnia- habitual sleeplessness; inability to sleep


Ominous- giving the impression that something bad or unpleasant is going to happen; threatening; inauspicious 


Earnestly- with sincere and intense conviction, seriously


Accost- approach and address someone boldly or aggressively 


Bemused- puzzle, confuse, or bewilder


Mystify- utterly bewilder or perplex


Perplex- cause to feel completely baffled


Comely- pleasant to look at, attractive


Insubordination- defiance of authority, refusal to obey orders


Pensive- engaged in, involving, or reflecting deep or serious thought


Forlorn- pitifully sad and abandoned or lonely


Hypnagogia- relating to the state immediately before falling asleep


Thantophobia- the fear of losing the people you love


Miscellaneous- of various types or from different sources


Precarious- dependent on chance, uncertain; not securely held or in position; dangerously likely to fall or collapse


Melancholy- a feeling of pensive sadness, typically with no obvious cause


Love- an intense feeling of deep affection


Eerie- strange and frightening


Joy- a feeling of great pleasure and happiness


Inspiration- the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative


Doubt- a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction

 

Irony- the expression of one’s meaning by using the language that often signifies the opposite typically for humorous or empathic effect


Ubiquitous- present, appearing, or found everywhere


Chastises- rebuke or reprimand severely


Charisma- compelling attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others


Ardently- very enthusiastically or passionately 


Docile- submissive


Enigma- a person or thing that is mysterious, puzzling, or difficult to understand


Vertigo- a sensation of whirling, or loss of balance, associated particularly with looking down from a great height or caused by disease affecting the inner ear, giddiness


Ego- a person’s self-esteem or self-importance 


Ambiance- the character and atmosphere of a place


Giddy- excitable and frivolous 


Enneagram- a nine-sided figure used in a particular system of analysis to represent the spectrum of possible personality types


Analysis- detailed examination of the elements or structure of something, typically as a basis for discussion or interpretation

 

Personality- the combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual’s distinctive character 


Introvert- a shy, reticent person

 

Reticent- not revealing one’s thoughts or feelings readily

 

Extrovert- an outgoing, overtly expressive person 


Turbulent- characterized by conflict, disorder, or confusion; not controlled or calm


Intuitive- using or based on what one feels to be true even without conscious reasoning; instinctive

 

Prospecting- to look out for; search for


Nostalgia- a sentimental or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations


Infatuation- an intense but short-lived passion or admiration for someone or something


yearn- have an intense feeling of longing for something, typically something that one has been separated from


gargantuan- enormous


Gallant- brave, heroic


Endgame- the final stage of a game such as chess or bridge, when few pieces or cards remain


Courage- the ability to do something that frightens one


Wanderlust- a strong desire to travel 


Loneliness- sadness because one has no friends or company


Animus- hostility or ill feeling 


Circadian- recurring naturally on a twenty-four-hour cycle, even in the absence of light fluctuations 


Unwonted- unaccustomed or unusual 


Miffed- annoyed


Ludicrous- so foolish, unreasonable, or out of place as to be amusing; ridiculous 


Pseudonyms- a fictitious name, particularly one used by an author


Mused- be absorbed in thought


Trepidation- a feeling of fear or agitation about something that may happen 


Dejectedly- sad and depressed; dispirited 


Heliophilia- love of sunlight
